Lauren & Remington Hendrix's Wedding

Lauren & Remington Hendrix, 10-08-2011
Lauren says that Underwood's was "more than accomodating each time we came in and made sure our rings were sparking and beautiful the day of the wedding."  Scroll through to take a look at Lauren and Remington's gorgeous wedding and see advice and vendor information!

Lauren suggests that brides follow a detailed wedding checklist and organize all of their wedding information into a planner or binder to keep everything together.  Many of our brides have told us that they wish they hadn't ignored the "wedding binder" and checklist ideas or had pushed themselves to keep using those tools throughout the planning process.  Underwood's provdes a mini to-do checklist available when you purchase your engagement ring from us, and you can see it under the "Engagement" heading on our website, too!
Above all, Lauren would tell a newly engaged person to relax, slow down, and enjoy this very special time in your life so that you can appreciate everything as it happens.

Merin and Michael Macechko's Wedding

Merin & Michael Macechko, 06-16-2007

Merin says this about her Underwood's experience:  "My husband knew he wanted the best for me, so he brought me ring shopping at Underwood's.  It was the perfect way to celebrate our engagement and a memory I'll never forget.  On our wedding day, we knew that our rings, the symbol of our love and commitment, would be cherished forever."

Merin and Michael Macechko wed at Central United Methodist Church and had their reception at UArk Bowl, Enjoy their beautiful photos, and scroll down to see their vendors!

Merin told us that while photography was a priority for her when she was planning her wedding, if she had her wedding to do all over she would budget differently and spend even more on photogaphy and also include a videographer.

Merin's advice to newly engaged brides is to take it slow, plan early so you can relax and enjoy the end result, and do what makes you happy.

Jennifer and John Simmons' Wedding

Jennifer & John Simmons, 07-26-03

Jennifer and John Simmons were married at Central United Methodist Church.  Jennifer is an exceptionally talented, award-winning seamstress and designer, and she is very creative and detail-oriented!  She said that for her wedding, the wedding rings were "definitely key to the designs on the dress, cake, and other decor."

For Jennifer's ring, we set a beautiful diamond on a band with a scroll pattern to it.  Her ring looks very similar to the ring shown above.  Jennifer and John's wedding bands both had the same simple but graceful scroll pattern in the center.

Jennifer also had a wedding necklace from Underwood's.  Giving your spouse a "wedding day gift" is a really sweet tradition.  Jewelry makes an idea wedding gift, because the recipient can have another piece of jewelry that they can wear every day!  Many gifts can also be engraved or personalized, just like wedding rings.

Jennifer said that if she had her wedding to do over, she would take more time to plan and to research reviews of businesses more and would spend more time on the Internet to find ideas and businesses.  During the original planning process, she relied mainly on word of mouth.  She said that neither her flowers or cake "worked out as I had specified, but I had gone with my ideas as opposed to pictures they had of previous jobs."

Venue:  Central United Methodist Church, Fayetteville Town Center
Photographer:  Kathy Mayhue

Katie & Jason McEntire's Wedding

Katie and Jason McEntire, 02-19-2011

Katie and Jason just celebrated their first anniversary.  Congrats!

After Jason proposed to Katie with a beautiful diamond solitaire from Underwood's, Katie brought us her grandmother's wedding band.  Katie fell in love with a custom Underwood's diamond band, and we initially looked at setting her grandmother's stones in a similar style to use as Katie's wedding band.  Instead, we took one of the stones from her grandmother's wedding band and set it on the inside of the Underwood's band she picked out.  Katie says that now she will always feel her grandmother is with her.  We also engraved a personal message and Katie and Jason's wedding date on the inside of Jason's band.
Katie said that these special touches, along with the personal attention she received from our staff, are what made Underwood's a memorable part of her wedding.

Katie and Jason were married at the Fayetteville Town Center.  Please scroll through to enjoy their stunning wedding photos and get vendor information and advice!

Katie is a busy young professional, and she was a very organized and efficient bride, as evidenced by the wedding planning checklist she so graciously shared with us.  Her number one tip for brides is:
GET A VIDEOGRAPHER!
This is a sentiment that has been expressed by many of our brides.  Some of them have told us that while they made sure that photography was a priority for their wedding day, they neglected to hire a videographer, and that is one of their biggest planning regrets.  Katie recommends Nilo Productions of Bentonville.  Several of Katie's friends have used them, and they have all been very pleased with their wedding videos!

Cayla-Marie and Aaron Jackson's Wedding

                                             Cayla-Marie and Aaron Jackson, 07-26-2011

Please meet another one of our lovely couples, Cayla-Marie and Aaron Jackson.  This is what Cayla-Marie had to say about her experience with Underwood's Jewelers:

"They provided the perfect addition to our big day.  We had searched for the perfect quality ring for a while.  When we came in Underwood's and saw the quality of the diamonds, we knew that was it.  It was wonderful working with the staff, who treated us like family."

We really have enjoyed getting to know Cayla-Marie and Aaron.  They are so loving and sweet and always treat not only each other but everyone around them with the utmost care and respect.  We are proud to be their jeweler of choice and wish them many happy years together!

Not only have Cayla-Marie and Aaron shared their wedding album with us, but Cayla-Marie's beautiful dress and bridal portrait will be on display in our store window during the month of March!

Cayla-Marie has also shared some great DIY craft ideas with us, including a "Thumbprint Guest Book," where she drew a beautiful tree and had each guest make a thumbprint and sign their name beneath it to represent a leaf on the tree.  Her wedding colors of yellow and gray were fresh and clean looking, and perfect for her summer wedding, too.  Choosing and coordinating colors and allowing plenty of time for creative touches like these will make your wedding suit your personalities.  Not only will you have gorgeous photos, but you will also have special keepsakes to cherish forever.

For any brides planning their wedding, we have a list of the vendors Cayla-Marie and Aaron chose:
